Timed to coincide with the official Le Mans 24 Hour race, theatre company Stan’s Cafe have converted their factory Headquarters in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter into the site of a major Scalextric track and invited six teams to battle it out through a gruelling 24 hours of slot-car racing from Saturday 13th to Sunday 14th June.

This extraordinary race will be surrounded by a host of activities:
- Family arts workshops.
- Films screened by 7” Cinema and Outer Sight.
- Pit Stop Cafe run by Kitchen Garden Cafe.
- Surprise guests.
- Scalextric test tracks for public participation.

Visitors can watch the race unfold from the Grandstand with live uninterrupted commentary provided by Stan’s Cafe directors Craig Stephens and James Yarker.  The race can also be followed in its entirety around the globe through a live web stream at www.stanscafe.co.uk/24hourscalextric.
 
On the Sunday morning visitors will be able to come and join the teams for brunch, as we count down to see who will win the coveted 24 Hour Scalextric Trophy.

Everyone is invited, live or over the web, to be part of one of the most memorable events of the sporting / artistic year.
