Bee Hotel Competition
Jewellery Quarter businesses Holiday Inn Express hotel and Vertu Bar have sponsored a special Bee Hotel in St Paul’s Square. The businesses are also sponsoring a competition with ten bees carefully hidden around the official Jewellery Quarter website, www.jewelleryquarter.net.
The prize-winner will receive a free night at the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Lionel Street and a unique Sterling Silver Bee Brooch made by Crescent Silver in the Quarter. They will be taken for a rare look behind the scenes to see how it’s made and then enjoy a lunchtime meal at Vertu Tapas bar.
The Bee Hotels have been designed to attract the rare Red Mason Bee as part of Birmingham University’s OPAL Project. You will be able to see for yourself if the bees like their accommodation by following the City Centre Floral Trail.
