Bitters ‘n Twisted – Free Drink for the Designated Driver

While it “‘tis the season to be jolly”, Bitters ’n Twisted Venues are encouraging parties to look after their designated driver this year by providing them with a complimentary soft drink or low-alcohol beer when 4 drinks are purchased together at their venues during December.

The five Birmingham based venues that make up the Bitters ’n Twisted family, Bodega Bar and Cantina, Island Bar, The Jekyll & Hyde, The Victoria and The Rose Villa Tavern are promoting the message of responsible drinking this Christmas.  All five venues offer customers a wide range of cocktails, global beers and hand-picked wines, whilst cask ale is also on offer at The Victoria, The Jekyll & Hyde and The Rose Villa Tavern.  Meanwhile for the soft drinkers and designated drivers all of the bars offer a range of fresh fruit juices, carbonated drinks, “mock-tails”, blended fruit drinks and bottled Becks Blue low-alcohol beer.

Matt Scriven Director of Bitters ’n Twisted said “with a host of festive events taking place this time of the year we wanted to make sure all of the designated drivers are well looked after and to do our bit to combat drink driving.  With a large range of soft drinks on offer drivers will be spoilt for choice for what to have and best of all it’s on us, call it an early Christmas present.”

This offer runs throughout December including New Year’s Eve at all five venues.

Our Community Interests

We are also the Directors of Mentoring for Educational Achievement (MEA) and we specialise supporting young people aged 11 –16yrs who are experiencing difficulties within the education, at home or within their local community

Many of the young people we work with struggle to cope within school for a variety of reasons.  Without projects like MEA, these young people may find themselves surrounded by influences which ultimately affect their ability to reach their full potential.  Through MEA we work towards addressing these issues through intensive one-to-one and group mentoring support, life and social skills development, access to education, training and development, family support and advocacy. We strongly believe that with the right support young people are given the opportunity to turn their lives around.

Through Pure Essence Greetings, we want to continue supporting this project and will donate 5% of all profits to MEA!

Hourly car and van rental on your doorstep!

City Car Club is the UK’s leading car club with over 500 pay-as-you-go cars and vans across Birmingham and 13 other UK cities. The cars are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be booked by the hour, day, or as long as you like from just £1.75 per hour.

Until now, Birmingham City Car Club has been a relatively small scale operation, but thanks to a new partnership with the City Council, who have agreed to provide an initial supply of on-street parking bays, the club is hoping to grow significantly over the coming months and years

Unlike owning your own car, with City Car Club you only pay for the time you actually need the car, so you’re not wasting money paying for one while it sits doing nothing. There are currently 4 City Cars conveniently located across Birmingham in designated parking bays near to where you live and work including one on Warstone Lane in the Jewellery Quarter. All vehicles can be booked online or by phone in advance, or at a moment’s notice so you can simply book, jump in and drive away.

Special Offer:

To help promote the new bay in the Jewellery Quarter, City Car Club is offering 20 first year memberships half price, plus £25 free drive time. All that is required is to quote JEW341 when joining. This offer is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
