Community Safety

Policing the Jewellery Quarter

The Jewellery Quarter is policed by officers from the Central Birmingham Operational Command Unit. Central Birmingham comprises nine neighbourhoods, each of which has their own neighbourhood policing team. Neighbourhood policing offers your community:
· Access – to a named team of local officers
· Influence – over policing priorities in your neighbourhood
· Action – by both police and partner agencies
· Answers – feedback and solutions to local concerns

The Jewellery Quarter and St Paul’s area has a neighbourhood team based at Vyse Street police station.

Members of the public can access up-to-date information on a wide variety of crimes including burglary, criminal damage, robbery, theft of vehicles and assault. The data is broken down to neighbourhood level based on a postcode search.

You can also find out whether crime levels are increasing or decreasing in the Jewellery Quarter and St Paul’s neighbourhood, Central Birmingham or any area covered by West Midlands Police.
